We recently took Oliver to Northern Ireland, where he enjoyed meeting some of his relatives. He was rather taken with uncle Pete. Oliver also enjoyed meeting Auntie Edna, Lorraine and Jenny And, of course, it was a chance to share a joke with Grandpa Holmes ('Opa') again.
It would appear that dancing style is hereditary. Ollie has definitely inherited Daddy's dancing moves. Here he demonstrates Moonwalking.... Kung-Fu Fighting..... And Stayin' Alive. For this he was joined by his friend Sam, who is also a bit of a mover!
A number of people have asked how Watson has coped with the new addition to the family.
Well, he's pretty relaxed. . . . http://youtu.be/Stm80ROR-JE Here's a parent quiz: see if you can see the subtle clues that tell you Oliver has filled his nappy. http://youtu.be/iI39aR5Kr0Q And Watson? Yes, he remains pretty relaxed. . . . http://youtu.be/qtTQRAJiN3c ![]() On Friday 31st October, with jaundice resolving without treatment, we were able to take our son home at last. He now has a name; Oliver Baxter Røre. He's a fabulous contented soul during the day, but at night the Hunger Monster appears. Nights are a bit of a challenge, but well worth it. oliver's expressions![]() Little (!) baby Rore was born in Aberdeen at 11.55 on 26th October 2014 He weighed in at an impressive 9 lb 1 ¼ oz. Came to the world screaming (and at speed), but he's now completely settled down, and is a lovely contented wee chap. We feel very lucky. We've not settled on a name yet, so please be patient with us. We had some ideas for names, but they just didn't seem to suit him when we met him. We were always a bit skeptical when new parents said that, but we totally get it now! We hope you enjoy the photos linked from the right of the screen. Excuse the peach blankets; it's an Aberdeen thing! |
